How to use WD-40 Bike Dry Lube on a chain

Things you will need:

  • Bike stand
  • Rag
  • WD-40 Bike Dry Lube


Dry and dusty conditions can be really harsh on your bike and your bike’s chain, don’t worry we have the answer! You need to know how to use WD-40 Bike Dry Lube, this is perfect to protect and lubricate your bike in dry conditions.


Step 1: Set the bike up

Before starting, place the bike into a bike stand so that the rear wheel is able to move freely, this will make it easier to able the lubricant to the chain. Place a rag under the chain to catch any excess liquid.


Step 2: Apply the product

To apply the product, place the applicator around 5cm from the derailleur’s lower jockey wheel. Apply directly to the inside surface of the chain whilst turning the rear wheel anticlockwise. Making sure to apply product to the chain fully.


Step 3: Leave the product

Leave the product to settle and soak into the chain for a few minutes, this will allow the whole chain to be lubricated well.
